Anna Fitzgerald's Case
Today I listened to Anna Fitzgerald's case; she wants to be medically emancipated from her parents. Everyone thought that Anna wanted this because she wanted to be in control of her body until she announced that Kate, her sister whom has APL, is the one who asked her to do this. I am ruling in Anna's favor because I think that no child should have to be punished like hat, to have to give up what makes them happiest in life just to try and save a sibling. I understand that Sara wants to do everything she can to save Kate's life because I would give anything to have my daughter here today, although she is putting Anna's life in danger. I also understand that Campbell chose to represent Anna because he doesn't have control over his body and he thinks that she should if she has the choice.

Designer Babies
I think that "designer babies" is unnatural way to have a child. I think that the child will not live a normal life if it has to give its sibling whatever it needs; the child will be responsible for his/her sibling's life. That is a very large responsibility for anyone let alone a baby. I do understand why some parents would agree with this; if they were in their shoes and one of their children was dying they would do anything they could do too. Some parents on the other hand do not agree with this because they think it is basically torturing the baby and the baby will not have any control over its life.

The Holocaust Happened
If someone walked up to me and said " The holocaust never happened, its a joke" I would tell them that there is no possible way that they are correct. There is too much evidence left for anyone to be able to believe that the Holocaust never happened. There are people who lived in concentration camps that are still alive today. There are concentration camps still standing today. There are pictures that prove how terrible the Holocaust was to Jews and other prisoners. Any person that says or even thinks this must be antisemitic and just simply wants to disrespect the history.

Holocaust, war, and human life
During the Holocaust about six million people died. They were murdered because of their race, sexual orientation, and mental or physical disabilities. The Nazi's did not like these people because they were different. In war we fight because of our differences, we dislike people because of their religion. In human life everyday people are tortured and murdered because of their race, religion, sexual orientation, physical appearance, and just because they are different. Why are these people constantly shamed because they are different? What makes people think that just because they don't believe in the same stuff as someone else that it is okay to kill them? There are little Hitlers all over the world, running around tormenting people who are different all the time but no one knows why.

The moment I realized my mom is a good person
A moment that made me see that my mom is a good person is when my grandma's dog got cut by something sharp. We were sitting inside at my grandma's house and we heard the dog weeping at the door. My mom went down to let him in and noticed his rear had been bleeding and examined it. She sent me to tell my grandma what had happened and that she was bringing the dog to the vet. She took care of him until he was fully recovered.

My to Kill A Mockingbird Experience
If I were to transfer the story of Scout and her adventures I would have to change the time and place. I would also have to change the things they do, like sneaking around Boo Radley's house. For me it would be more like sneaking into the woods with my friends to explore a new hiding place. The curiosity that the children have would stay the same. I think that I would have been friends with all of these children as a child because we have many of the same interests.

Instructions for Living a Life
"Instructions for living a life. Pay attention. Be astonished. Tell about it."- Mary Oliver
I think this quote is saying what you have to do in order to live a proper life through the eyes of Mary Oliver. Like she thinks you have to pay attention to everything around you and to every detail of your life. She also thinks that you have to be astonished. Tell about your life and make everyone listen to your story that way you are never forgotten, even after you have died.

My Constitutional Amendment
If I had been chosen by a completely random lottery to be the only person to get a once in a lifetime opportunity to make up one brand new Constitutional Amendment that gets added to The Constitution automatically and takes effect immediately I would choose to make abortion illegal. I would do this because I believe it is wrong to have an abortion because it is murder. I think that if people don't want kids then they should be more careful.

What do you wish you could believe in again???
"There is a great deal of difference in believing something still, and believing it again."-W.H.Auden
I wish I could believe in Santa Clause again because it was so fun when I was a little kid. Waiting up on Christmas Eve so you can see Santa come, waking up on Christmas morning to open your presents. Christmas was just more exciting when I was little.

Are physical appearances related to personalities???
I think that some peoples physical appearances match their personality because some people modify their bodies to show their personalities. Although you can't tell most peoples personalities from just looking at them. Like if you see someone covered in tattoo's with piercings everywhere can you say their personality just from that picture. If my internal beauty was related to my external appearance then i would be tiny and shy. What would you look like?

Are you a spender or a saver?
I am a saver because I save my money up for the things I want. Most the time I save my money up for stuff that is important, like clothing. Our generation is addicted to spending money on stupid things. They are gratified and don't even care as long as they get what they want.

Are you an extrovert or an introvert?
I am an introvert, because I am a quiet and less sociable person. I prefer to have less people around me because big crowds make me uncomfortable. I regain my energy most the time when i'm with some people but not a lot of people. I think that introverts have it easier because extroverts are more likely to have a lot of drama. I think that if the world would be more open to the public because there wouldn't be any shy people and there would me more success in businesses because there would be more team work if everybody was an extrovert. If everybody was an introvert then the world would be all independent and things would be hard to do because team work helps a lot.

Life Law 9:A Definition of Forgiveness
"Forgiveness is a gift you give yourself"
-Suzanne Somers
This quote is very true, considering the fact that if you don't give yourself the ability to forgive then you will regret it. Staying mad is not healthy for anyone, and forgiveness is the only way to let out anger in a good way. One of the many different definitions for forgiveness is the ability to excuse a fault or an offense. If you don't do this then you will stay mad at that person or fault and take out your anger in a wrong way or on the wrong person.

Thought of the day: Life Law 6
"You can complain because roses have thorns, or you can rejoice because thorns have roses"- Ziggy
The meaning of this quote is don't complain about what you have, embrace what you are lucky enough to have because some people don't have anything. You can't always get what you want but life isn't about what you want its about what you need.

Thought of the day: Life Law 5
"Be, do, have. If you do nothing you will have nothing."
This quote is very true if you do nothing now then you will want to later but your not going to have the chance because you didn't work hard enough for it. Like for example say your in high school and you do nothing, get bad grades and don't care. Then you figure out that you aren't going to graduate. Its too late to make up for all that time you wasted before, so you don't graduate high school then all your friends are going to college and your trying to get a job, but its hard because you don't have your diploma.

Thoughts. by Walt Whitman
The reason I chose Thoughts is because it stood out to me. I really didn't like many of Walt Whitman's poems so the fact that i liked this one was great. I really understood this poem and I'm not a big fan of poetry.I believe that Walt Whitman was a great poet and I hope to find more poets like him.
Thoughts. by Walt Whitman
OF Public Opinion;
Of a calm and cool fiat, sooner or later, (How impassive! How certain and final!)
Of the President with pale face, asking secretly to himself, What will the people say
at
last?
Of the frivolous Judge—Of the corrupt Congressman, Governor, Mayor—Of such as
these,
standing helpless and exposed;
Of the mumbling and screaming priest—(soon, soon deserted;)
Of the lessening, year by year, of venerableness, and of the dicta of officers, statutes,
pulpits, schools;
Of the rising forever taller and stronger and broader, of the intuitions of men and women,
and
of self-esteem, and of personality;
—Of the New World—Of the Democracies, resplendent, en-masse;
Of the conformity of politics, armies, navies, to them and to me,
Of the shining sun by them—Of the inherent light, greater than the rest,
Of the envelopment of all by them, and of the effusion of all from them.

Walt Whitman
Walt Whitman was an american poet. He transformed from an unoriginal and conventional poet into one who abruptly abandoned conventional rhyme and meter and, in jottings begun at this time, exploiteds the odd loveliness of homely imagery, finding beauty in the commonplace but expressing it in an uncommon way. He worked for a lawyer for his first job, and then for a newspaper. Walt was both a romanticist and a realist because he wrote both types of poems.
